12 players braved a wet and dreary day to descend upon our club to play some ADLG-Renaissance. 11 different armies were being fielded, which should provide some interesting results and test the rules.
The initial round saw a few draws, a mutual destruction and three wins. Games started then heat up in round 2 with all coming to a conclusive result before the the final round where there was only one draw.
Thrasos, one of our new club members, who joined in at the last moment to even up the numbers and borrowed my Ottoman Turks won the comp with an impressive 264 point, especially as he had never played -R!
Overall, all the games were really good and very few major rules queries. The language on Regimental Artillery and Arquebus needs to be clarified, to bring it in line with ADLG, but overall, everyone had a lot of fun.
