A practice game for the CLWC One Day competition in March 24.
Paul brought his New Model English and I brought my Scots Royalists out for another run.
I made a slight tweak to the army, reducing then amount of highlanders and replaced with another Scottish Pike &Shot.

The Scots win the initiative and choose to attack. The Scots decide to flank march the majority of their mounted, having seen the English baggage so close to the flank.
The English start to advance. The Highlanders pull back to delay the inevitable
The English advance and reveal the ambush in the plantation, a battle unit of Irish Musketeers!
The English Ironsides crash into the Highlanders.
The English Firelocks advance to engage the Irish Musketeers in the plantation and get charged!
My right flank holds against the Ironsides. Two die and one break off. The elite general Ironside meanwhile breaks thru ….
Meanwhile, the Scottish flank march still hasn’t arrived.
Oh this doesn’t bode well for the Irish.
The Scots finally break the English one turn before their flank march arrives. my Scot’s were one point from breaking
